4. Service Description

4.1 AI-Generated Content

The Brief Brief provides AI-generated situational reports ("sitreps") based on publicly available news sources.

4.2 Messaging Features

The Service includes messaging functionality for user communication. By using this feature, you agree to:

• Use messaging for lawful purposes only
• Respect other users and refrain from harassment, abuse, or spam
• Not transmit harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content

5. Subscription and Billing

5.1 Paid Tiers

Premium features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your chosen tier
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled
• Pricing as displayed at the time of purchase

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by third-party providers (Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, etc.). You agree to their respective terms of service.

5.3 Refunds

5.4 Price Changes

• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Post or transmit spam, advertising, or promotional content

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of The Brief Brief (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and design) are owned by Brief Technologies, LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 AI-Generated Sitreps

AI-generated sitreps remain our property. You may:

• View and read sitreps within the Service
• Share links to sitreps
• Quote brief excerpts with attribution for personal or editorial use

You may NOT:

• Reproduce entire sitreps without permission
• Use sitreps for commercial purposes without authorization
• Remove attribution or source links

7.3 News Sources

Original news content belongs to respective publishers. We provide links and attribution to source material.

8. User-Generated Content

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or other communications to us ("Submissions"), you grant Brief Technologies a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, modify, and incorporate such Submissions without compensation or attribution.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for:

• The content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites
• Any transactions or interactions you have with third parties
• Privacy practices or data handling of external sites

The Brief Brief may also include occasional affiliate links to products or services we believe are useful. If you choose to make a purchase through these links, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. These affiliate partnerships help support the Service but do not influence our sitrep content, reporting, or editorial decisions.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

10.1 Service "As Is"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10.2 AI Content Disclaimer

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, CURRENT, OR ERROR-FREE. USE OF SUCH CONTENT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRIEF TECHNOLOGIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or errors
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
